Dave Coyne is the barrel program manager and runs the original 8.5 barrel brewhouse at Fort George Brewery + Public House. As the small batch brewer, Dave oversees R&D and fun experimental brews. Prior to brewing he attended California State University, Long Beach and earned a BFA in illustration. Having been home brewing with his father for a few years he decided to continue his education in beer by moving to Astoria, Oregon to take a job at Fort George as a cellarman, which quickly lead to brewing and other creative positions at the brewery. When he's not brewing, Dave continues to work on his art and enjoys playing with his dog Lucy and listening to doom metal.
