CAMERON
JOHNSON

Cameron began homebrewing in 2010, shortly after beginning his Graduate degree in Architecture. After completing school at Washington State University and working in Spokane for a few short years, a local real-estate developer approached him with the concept of opening an 'Incubator brewery' and an attached taproom to serve beers made by multiple, separately-licensed breweries all under one roof -- a Co-Op Brewery of sorts. After three years of planning, formulating business structures, purchasing equipment, and refurbishing a 3,000 s.f. 1909 building in downtown Spokane, Cameron opened Young Buck Brewing in the Summer of 2016 alongside another co-owner (Joe Potter, Little Spokane Brewing). The facility is now composed of the brewery, three separately-licensed brewers operating independently while sharing space on a 7bbl brewhouse, a 30-tap full-bar taproom (called The Steel Barrel), and a Ceviche kitchen called Zona Blanca (run by critically-acclaimed Chef Chad White, a recent contestant on the Bravo show: Top Chef).
